The diversity of its membership is the
best way to define a congregation. Temple Shalom members come from Orthodox,
Conservative and Reform backgrounds. We also have a number of members who
are Jews by Choice. We diligently strive to meet and serve the needs of all
708 member families.
But our motto is:
Every member of the Congregation is a member of our Committee. You
are the Temple’s ambassadors to the Naples Jewish Community and we
respectfully ask for your participation, help, and support.
In January, the Membership
Committee hosted new members for a “Meet the Rabbi” reception. This
was an opportunity to sit down with Rabbi Bloom in an intimate setting and
discuss all manner of interesting topics.
On February 1, the
Committee invited all those who have joined the Congregation in the past
year to have dinner as our guests at a special “New Member Fusion Shabbat.”
