Adult Art Classes at Temple Shalom
Beginning on Monday, January 7, Naples artist and teacher, Rona Steingart will offer art classes for beginners and intermediate art students at Temple Shalom from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Instruction will be individualized and emphasis will be on the joy of creating. A mixed media approach will incorporate the use of acrylics, watercolor, pastels, and collage. The cost will be $20.00 for each class. Art classes are open to the community.
Rona has been teaching art in Naples for the past seven years. Her students have juried into many local exhibitions. “Teaching is truly an art. Most art teachers are artists first and teachers second. Because I have an M.S. in Education, I have learned to communicate with students in a way that helps them think as individuals. I strive to promote artistic growth through helpful guidance. I never touch their work with my brush, ever. Every class ends with a group discussion about their work. My goal is to help students paint in their own style and find pleasure in the process and the product.”
