Judaism: What's Love Got to do With It?

Every Tuesday in November at 12:00pm - Social Hall of Temple Shalom

It is a common misperception that Judaism is a religion of law while Christianity is a religion of love. People frequently accuse the God of the Hebrew Bible, what Christians call the Old Testament, as being a God of punishment and vengeance, while they refer to the God of what Christians call the New Testament, as a God of compassion and love. Nothing could be further from the truth. Love belongs as much to Judaism as it does to Christianity. This class will utilize the new book by Shai Held, “Judaism is About Love: Recovering the Heart of Jewish Life”.
