Religious School
Religious School
Our Religious School empowers Jewish children and teens to develop friendships and leadership skills, fosters a sense of belonging to the Jewish People, a deep engagement with and love for Israel, and a commitment to inspired Jewish living.
Walk the halls of Temple Shalom Religious School on any given Sunday morning when school is in session and you will hear song and prayer, laughter and joy.
We believe that every stage of Jewish learning must be meaningful, personally fulfilling and foster a love of our traditions and community.
Our students, teachers and parents work together to generate bonds with each other, our Temple family, Israel and God based on our shared faith, culture and heritage, while developing a strong foundation in Jewish values, beliefs and practices in ways that are engaging, intellectually stimulating and fun.
We believe that successful Jewish learning is maximized when it is in sync with the realities of modern secular life. In response to the fact that many families are pulled in too many directions during the week, Temple Shalom offers a Sunday-only Hebrew class as well as a Sunday/Wednesday option.

No student is ever denied a religious education for financial reasons. Please contact Deborah Fidel, Executive Director, at 239-455-3030.
Please note: Our Religious School is open to members of Temple Shalom. If you are not a member yet, we invite you to join our family. Please contact Ana Maria Tamargo, Membership Coordinator, at 239-455-3030 for membership information or click here.
Shalom Yeladim!
Shalom Yeladim! is a brand new program for parents and their little ones (2-4 year olds). Once a month on a Sunday morning during Religious School, parents and kiddos will meet and learn about Shabbat and the Jewish holidays. Through crafts, play, yoga, music and fun, kids will begin to learn about Judaism in a hands-on and experiential way. Parents are invited to join their children on this engaging Jewish educational journey. Shalom Yeladim! is taught by the talented Gloria Mellman who strives to bring passion and joy to every session!
