Thank you for being part of our Temple Shalom Family. While most non-profit institutions draw donors from a large and diverse population, our resources come only from those who choose to connect with Temple Shalom. We are grateful for your generosity, which enables Temple to be a center for living Judaism, loving Judaism and sharing Judaism.

We live our Judaism through our vibrant worship services, education and lifecycle moments.  Our thriving education programs from Preschool and Religious School all the way to Melton School for Adult Education encourage participants to develop strong Jewish identities across the generations. Our heritage, traditions and values are instilled in the future generations.

Temple Shalom expresses loving Judaism by repairing the world on Mitzvah Day with Meals of Hope (50,000 meals this year!), actively supporting families with our Caring Committee, and providing those in need with Thanksgiving dinners and Passover Seders. Through Beading for Betterment, Temple Shalom members created 300 Mother’s Day gifts for all the children at the Guadalupe Center in Immokalee to give to family members.

At a time of crisis, we opened our doors as an emergency shelter for Hurricane Irma. The letters of thanks poured in from those who stayed at the Temple and their family members. One woman shared, “When every shelter turned me away, Temple Shalom warmly opened its doors, gave me shelter and made me feel safe.”

Finally, your support allows us to share Judaism.  We are a congregation where all are accepted –there are no barriers to being part of our Temple Family.  That refers to financial openness, as well as spiritual.  Our membership includes interfaith families, and all are welcome with open arms to our egalitarian format, where men and women are treated equally in every way within the congregation. All give generously, making meaningful gifts from the heart of their time, talent and resources.

All of this – living Judaism, loving Judaism, sharing Judaism – is made possible because of your passionate dedication to Temple Shalom and our One Family. Thank you for sustaining our congregation today and investing in the future of the Jewish people with your gifts for Above and Beyond.
