Rabbi Muller presents a year-long series on the books of Rabbi Harold Kushner, author of the bestseller, “When Bad Things Happen To Good People.” Rabbi Kushner sadly passed away this year after a stellar career as a pulpit Rabbi and author of a dozen books on Judaism, religion, and living a Jewish life in the modern age. Rabbi Kushner was the first rabbi in centuries whose books were read by people of all faiths, and which appealed to a mass general audience. Rabbi Kushner‘s ideas have influenced two generations of rabbis, and have comforted millions who have suffered loss and hardship. In recognition of Rabbi Kushner‘s literary achievements, and to make the wisdom in his books accessible to all, a monthly series on Sunday mornings from October to May will be offered at Temple Shalom, each session devoted to studying one of Rabbi Kushner‘s books in depth.
