YESh empowers Jewish children and teens to develop friendships and leadership skills, fosters a sense of belonging to the Jewish People, a deep engagement with and love for Israel, and a commitment to inspired Jewish living. Walk the halls of YESh on any given Sunday morning when school is in session, and you will hear song and prayer, laughter and joy. We believe that every stage of Jewish learning must be meaningful, personally fulfilling and foster a love of our traditions and community.
We believe that successful Jewish learning is maximized when it is in sync with the realities of modern secular life. Temple Shalom offers YESh on Sunday mornings from 9:00AM to 12:00PM. It includes Judaics and Hebrew classes as well as electives and special family programs for all students in Kindergarten through 7th grade. Our Madrichim (8th-12th grades) assist in classrooms on these days, and Confirmation Class for 8th-10th graders is once a month.
