He is the founder and director of Makom Meshutaf which offers non-denominational and non-coercive Jewish educational programming for Kibbutzim, Moshavim and Pre Military Academies throughout Israel, currently under the auspices of Mizrachi Olami/World Mizrachi. Rabbi Hammer has authored five books, "Armed with Spirit" by Gefen publishing being the most recent. He is a sought after lecturer in Israel and abroad. www.rabbihammer.com
Engaging the Disengaged: Reconnecting Teens and Young Adults to Israel Why are so many youngsters in the USA disinterested in the land of Israel? Rabbi Hammer will identify some of the features of this generation which lend to this predicament and explore what can be done to engage our youth with the Jewish Homeland.
